Geoff Power is an abstract and urban fine art photographer. He has been dedicated to documenting the unique industrial-style 'graffiti' found in docks and urban settings, initially Grimsby, then London, later Florence, Reggio, Bologna and Bari, Italy, and beyond. Some images were used by the designer Peter Saville when they collaborated on the 12" single 'Shellshock' for the band New Order, on Factory Records, and later a songbook, 'X'. With a keen eye for pattern, form, and light and shade, Geoff's images encapsulate the rich colour and texture of urban details and draws on ideas of minimalism and abstract expressionism and influenced by artists like Mark Rothko and Franz Kline. He has also photographed Tilda Swinton and Hooky amongst others.
