Collection: Factory New Order

These photographs were taken in and around the fish docks of Grimsby, my hometown and down an alley in Florence, Italy, subsequently used by Peter Saville for New Order, as the 12inch single Shellshock on Factory Records.

In 1991 I had an exhibition at Dry Bar, Manchester, of six of these bad boys, printed at 72 inches x 48 inches. Several were later used in a songbook of New Order singles for Warner Chapple, again designed by Saville.

The portrait is of the bass player Peter Hook, Hooky.
